Tax Fraud and Identity Protection

Beginning with tax year 2017, the IRS and State tax offices are requesting that Taxpayers provide Driver's License or other approved ID information to accompany annual income tax filings.
This information helps to authenticate Tax Returns filed with tax agencies.
This office will begin requesting Driver's License information and plan to collect that information when clients drop tax documentation with our office.
This information is NOT mandatory by the IRS or most states.

Taxpayers have the right to decline to provide this information.
Taxpayers should be aware that tax returns filed without this information could experience a delay in the processing of tax returns and/or tax refunds.
This office reserves the right to require Driver's License information, on a taxpayer by taxpayer basis, before preparing or processing a return.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
